It can be difficult to tell a rogue trader or distraction burglar from a genuine caller. So it’s worth taking extra time to check that they are who they say they are. We’ve recently had reports of doorstep callers posing as Aster employees who are gaining access to customers’ homes on the pretence that they are carrying out mould and damp inspections.
We will always notify you in advance if we plan to visit and all of our colleagues carry identification with them. Feel free to phone us to double check the identity of the person at your door, our colleagues won’t mind waiting.
