Gas safety
As a homeowner (leaseholder or shared owner) it is your responsibility to ensure that your gas boiler is serviced annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Following improvements to our health and safety assurances we launched the gas safety project in 2019. We, along with many other housing associations across the UK, now request a copy of your in-date gas certificate to ensure your property is following health and safety regulations. This is to keep you and your neighbouring homes safe.
As you know, you will hold a lease with us whether you are a leaseholder or a shared owner. Within the lease there will be clauses included which support our request for a copy of your gas certificate. Your lease is a legally binding contract meaning both Aster Group as the freeholder and you as the homeowner are obligated to abide by the clauses within the lease.
Once you have had your annual service and have your gas certificate you can email us a copy to gassafetyproject@aster.co.uk, or post a copy to: Aster Group, Sarsen Court, Horton Avenue, Cannings Hill, Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 2AZ.
If you have a service arranged, please let us know when this is booked in so we can update our records and place your property on hold from receiving any further reminders.
If you have any queries about the project, you can reach us on the email above or by calling 0333 400 8222.
