Have you thought about shared ownership?

Shared ownership allows you to buy a share in your own home and pay rent on the share that you don't own, which means you can take that all-important first step on the property ladder with a smaller deposit and mortgage. 

Over time you can increase the share you have in your home until ultimately you own 100% of it. We have homes for sale under shared ownership right across the South with most being sold to shared ownership buyers within the first few weeks on the market. 

For example together with house builder Linden Homes we’re building 448 new homes in Boorley Green in Eastleigh and 51of these are available for shared ownership with 89 for affordable rent. 

Earlier this month, councillors from Eastleigh Borough Council visited this South Hampshire development to see how they were coming along. 

Councillor Keith House, leader of Eastleigh Borough Council, said: "Aster's investment in new affordable homes at Boorley Green is much welcomed. To fix our broken housing market Hampshire needs an increased supply of homes for sale and rent. Aster and Linden Homes are valuable partners for Eastleigh Borough Council in delivering new homes and improving local infrastructure." 

Construction started on site last year with the 38 shared ownership homes due to be completed by March 2019.
