Keeping our communities safe

Our anti-social behaviour (ASB) team works closely with the police and other partner agencies to resolve issues of ASB or drug use in our properties.

In early November, the police and our ASB officer covering Weymouth, Dorchester and Bridport targeted over 60 addresses in the area where drug gangs were suspected of using the homes of some of our more vulnerable customers to deal drugs from – also known as cuckooing.

As a result of this operation, two local Weymouth men were arrested on suspicion of possession and attempt to supply a controlled class A drug.

Together with the police, we are continuing to monitor those addresses of concern and will take appropriate action as necessary.
