Skaters raise cash for Teenage Cancer Trust
Cara works in our complaints team and recently skated 10 miles in just two hours and 20 minutes for charity.
She started roller skating during lockdown and did the skateathon to raise some cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
We donated £250 to sponsor Cara and the team raised an amazing £865 in total.
Cara said: “We’re an inclusive and supportive skating group that brings people together through their love of skating, we teach each other tips and tricks and help build confidence. We’ve grown into a real community and have found it has been incredibly positive for mental health following such a long period of isolation.”
The Teenage Cancer Trust helps young cancer patients aged 13-24. They also build specialist units in NHS hospitals so young people can be treated by cancer experts.
